hey dude, i will try to explain you that, you have to make a mask in the area that you want to extrude, reverse the mask and after that in the deformation tab you use the taper or the inflat and make the extrution, after that you have to select that part and put it into a polygroup,then hit in the subtool tab GrpSplit, i think that should work…
